01. How long have Autonational Rescue been in business and why should I choose Autonational’s breakdown cover and recovery services?
Autonational Rescue have been providing breakdown cover since 1992. Our motoring services are backed by Equity Red Star who are part of Lloyd’s, are the UK’s 6th largest motor insurer, have a history that goes back to 1908 and today have over 600,000 clients.

We believe our car breakdown and recovery services are second to none.  We have a wide range of car breakdown cover options to suit every need.  What’s more, we’re noted as being the first breakdown service with a protected no claims bonus!

02. How can Autonational Rescue offer such low prices and such high level of service?
Our prices for car breakdown cover are extremely competitive because we use our experience to carefully choose the very best partner recovery operators, on call for you in every part of the UK, so we can pass these efficiency savings on to you.

Also, we concentrate on providing the car breakdown cover that we believe people want and target our breakdown service at cautious motorists who do not expect to break down. The 25% No Claims Bonus was introduced as a further reward for those motorists who do not use the service during the year.

03. How does the 25% No Claims Bonus work?
If you don't break down in the first year of your Autonational Rescue membership, then you'll get 25% off our regular prices the following year. Additionally, your no claims bonus is protected in two ways! You’ll keep paying the discounted rate - the one that includes your 25% no claims bonus- if:

• You call us out only once in any two years, or
• You call us out again and we don’t arrive within the hour to the breakdown scene

04. Is there a breakdown recovery operator near me?
We have a network of 1,200 recovery operators spread throughout the UK. This means that over 5,500 vehicles are available to ensure fast, efficient service wherever you are.  So, whichever way you look at it, we offer car breakdown cover you can depend upon.

05. Is there any age limit on cars covered by Autonational Rescue’s breakdown services?
No, our 24-hour, 365 days per year car breakdown cover is available to all motorists with a full UK driving licence.

06. I've got two cars - do I get a discount on the second?
Yes, second cars based at the same address attract a 50% price reduction.  And if you haven’t had a car breakdown in the last 12 months, you will receive a 25% introductory no claims discount!

07. Do you provide legal assistance?
No, many people already have this cover with their Motor Insurance and we concentrate on providing a low cost, efficient car breakdown service.

08. Can anyone drive my car?
Yes. Our breakdown cover is vehicle based so it’s the car that’s covered, not the person. All legal drivers of the specified car will be covered by Autonational Rescue.

09. Can I customise the level of cover according to what I need?
Yes, Autonational Rescue offers you a wide variety of options to choose from. Our basic car breakdown cover is Roadside SuperService and you can add on any other services you need, ranging from vehicle recovery to any UK destination, home breakdowns, emergency travel or accommodation and caravan cover. We also offer an all-inclusive package with all the Autonational Rescue car breakdown services that represents better value for our customers.

10. Do you provide priority to drivers in vulnerable situations?
Yes, and as an additional security measure we can let you know the name of the car/vehicle recovery operator which will attend the breakdown.

11. What happens if I break down on the motorway?
Emergency telephones are located every mile. You will get straight through to the motorway police who will ask you for breakdown details.

12. Can I join immediately?
Yes, you can join Autonational Rescue online using our secure online application. Cover commences from midnight on the day we receive your application unless you specify a later date.
